crashMcMahan and Associates (a third-party traffic consultant) applied standards of the Highway Capacity Manual (HCM) in studying 13 interestions in Abington. Nine failed the standards between 1988-1990 and McMahan also found that 38 intersections had 10 or more accidents over those three yearsTwenty years ago, the intersection of Susquehanna / Old York Road had over 40 accidents.

Traffic SurveyThe traffic survey was developed not just to focus on ways to the improve safety of our families, but also consider how our congested roads restrict economic growth. Help to identify problem areas, which will be analyzed through case studies. Be prepared to help us imagine Abington in a decade.
