At the May 10 Abington Township Board of Commissioners meeting Commissioner Les Benzak, Ward 6, announced that he will be resigning from the board effective May 25.

“Not My Life,” a film about human trafficking, will be shown May 15 at the Hiway Theatre to raise awareness about the global issue and make residents aware that prostitution is believed present in Jenkintown. State Rep. Lawrence Curry, D-154, the Montgomery County Anti-Human Trafficking Coalition and concerned residents are presenting the film and panel discussion.
