Message from RMCA President

January 26, 2012

Neighbors,

Abington is wonderful township with many tight-knit communities. Those seeking political office at state and national levels invest significant resources to reach Abington voters and seek the support of influential residents of Rydal-Meadowbrook communities.

I am pleased to assume the responsibilities of President today and plan to work together with community leaders and elected officials to build upon Abington’s amazing history. This collaboration can and should lead to progress in five areas:

1. Traffic safety and congestion can be improved by focusing on key roads and intersections that date back to the time of William Penn.
2. Economic planning and marketing can attract organizations and entrepreneurs that complement and enhance our communities.
3. Public education must be continually improving to make our children more competitive; while also attracting ambitious young homeowners.
4. We must sustain our environment by encouraging the retention of old trees and carefully consider any development that might impact flooding.
5. Rydal-Meadowbrook Civic Association will conduct outreach to expand our network of neighbors who are interested in working together to improve Abington.

If you agree with these priorities, please join us at one of our upcoming events. We welcome your participation.

Sincerely,

Stephen Turner
President of the Board of Governors
Rydal-Meadowbrook Civic Association
